Ms. Deborah Donovan
Dear Deborah,
Please find attached a draft proposed American National Standard for Project1134-D, Fibre Channel-Generic Services-2 (FC-GS-2).The dpANS is being forwarded for an OMC Compliance Review and a first Public Review.
At the T11 Plenary at Tucson, AZ on December 17, 1998, a motion "to accept the responses to the T11 Letter Ballot comments contained in T11/98-559v1, and to forward FC-GS-2 Revision 5.3 (T11/98-435v1) for further processing including an OMC Compliance Review and a first Public Review" was approved by a roll call vote of 45 for, 0 opposed and 29 organizations not voting. On 12/17/98 T11 had 75 members, thus this vote met the 2/3rds rule. On 12/15/98, Task Group T11.4 had forwarded this document for further processing by a vote of 30 for, 1 opposed and 13 organizations not voting. On 12/15/98 T11.4 had 44 members, thus this vote also met the 2/3rds rule.
All of the above followed an earlier online T11 Letter Ballot on FC-GS-2
Revision 5.2 (T11/98-435v0) which closed on 9/29/98 with 51 for, 3 opposed and 19 organizations not voting (5 for ballots included comments). On 9/29/98 T11 had 73 members, and thus this vote also met the 2/3rds rule. The results of this ballot, and the comments submitted, are available online from http://www.t11.org by following "Membership and Ballots" and "Closed Ballots" links. The comments returned as part of the T11 Letter Ballot were addressed by the Technical Editor, and were resolved by the changes included in the subsequent revision.
A list of the members of T11, and other individuals who have contributed to the development of this dpANS, is included in the draft.
The dpANS for FC-GS-2 Revision 5.3 is available via the T11 home page
(http://www.t11.org) by following the "Docs" link and "Draft Standards and
TRs".
Could you please therefore take the appropriate steps for further processing of the draft.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Regards,
