Eight of the nine recipients in 1998 were technical experts from T2, T11, L3, B5, L2, J4, B10, J11 and J16. Winners will be celebrated at the NCITS meeting and announced on the NCITS web site. Previous recipients are listing on the NCITS website at http://www.ncits.org/honor.pdf.

This is an honorary award presented to one NCITS participant who has provided outstanding service to the NCITS organization through committee work or duties assigned by the NCITS Chair. This individual is selected by the NCITS Chair.
Criteria for nomination: Provided outstanding service to the NCITS organization
through committee work or duties assigned by the NCITS Chair; assisted
the Chair in progressing the work of NCITS.
This is an honorary award presented to no more than four participants who have demonstrated continuous support for the work of NCITS.
Criteria for nomination: Long-standing (10+ years) member of
NCITS and/or NCITS Subgroup; demonstrated continuous support for the work
of NCITS; served on at least one management committee for one or more terms;
provided support to the Secretariat in progressing the work of NCITS; served
on at least two or more international committees.
This is an honorary award presented to no more than two participants who have provided outstanding service to the NCITS organization through committee work or duties.
Criteria for nomination: Provided outstanding service to the
NCITS organization through committee work or duties assigned by NCITS during
the past year.
This is an honorary award presented to no more than four NCITS members holding an officer position within an NCITS Subgroup. It recognizes individuals who, as officers, have provided outstanding leadership to the subgroup in its national and/ or international work, have demonstrated proficiency in achieving consensus in the national and/or international arenas and have followed the approved procedures in an exemplary fashion.
Criteria for nomination: Provided leadership to the subgroup
in its national and/or international activities; Demonstrated skill in
achieving consensus in the national and/or international arenas.
