At the December 17, 1998 meeting of the JTC 1 TAG Finance Committee, the subject of JTC 1 TAG membership fees was addressed (JT/99-0006, agenda item 4.2):
4.2 JTC 1 TAG Membership FeesAs a result of Action Item 7 from the December 1998 JTC 1 TAG Finance Committee meeting, the JTC 1 TAG Administrator reviewed the JTC 1 TAG membership categories and related service fees with regard to the current JTC 1 TAG membership. The results of the JTC 1 TAG Administrator's research is detailed in the attached table.Mr. Jameson noted that the current JTC 1 TAG fee structure does not distinguish between large and small commercial entities. The $9500 membership fee for participation on the JTC 1 TAG might deter smaller entities from seeking membership.
It was agreed that the JTC 1 TAG Administrator would prepare an analysis of the impact of tiered dues for commercial entities, based upon current JTC 1 TAG membership, for consideration at the March 1999 meeting of the JTC 1 TAG Finance Committee.
