Subject:	NCITS/L8 Chairman's Reply to JT/00-0684 - Status of USNB Offer to Host the 2003 SC 32 Plenary

Dear Jennifer,

The US informally agreed to host an SC32 Plenary meeting in 2003 at the Helsinki meeting. The details are not worked out yet, though there have been a few discussions on the subject. At this time, though, no organization has formally offered to host the meeting, the site is not yet determined, and the dates are not finalized.

When a firm offer is made, we will let you know. However, other countries are unlikely to step up since they know the US made an offer.
