Subject: Recruitment Ideas - Incentives for Members
At the July meeting, NCITS members discussed a number of ideas that might provide incentives for existing members to recruit new members. The Secretariat was tasked with defining one or more plausible scenarios.
(1.) The members want a rebate for recruiting new members. This carries some risk because of the NCITS retention patterns (see attached). We can implement this in the following manner:
When a new member pays its invoice, the existing member that recruited the new member may have a 25% rebate on its dues for the same year.(2) We do not believe this is practical at the technical expert level, as the motivation there is different. To recruit new technical work, we need to implement a PR plan, discussed at some length in the Marketing Report, IT/01-0900.For example: If Unisys recruits American Express in 2002, then Unisys will be offered a 25% rebate on its 2002 dues after American Express has paid.
