Dear Debbie:
I am sorry that I have not been able to provide you with a recommendation on the subject FDAM (which arrived with no advance notice and on a very short time frame), but as I advised the JTC1 TAG last year, we had expected the US TAG for SC22/WG15 (WG15 TAG) to be disbanded by year 2003. In fact there was a WG15 TAG ballot last year that resolved that the TAG be disbanded - but only after balloting was completed on another JTC1 Standard expected in early 2003 - not the FDAM. In other words, this ballot apparently wasn't even anticipated by the TAG.
My records don't provide a clue as to where this FDAM came from so I have been trying - without success so far - to contact the WG15 TAG Chair.
My suggestion is to have Jennifer place this item on the agenda for the INCITS meeting next week, and hopefully I'll have some input by that time. (As you may know, the issue of SC22/WG15 is already an agenda item there.)
