Standards Development Board Input for Consideration at the February 2003 INCITS Executive Board Meeting

Following extensive discussion at the February 10-12, 2003 inaugural meeting of the Standards Development Board, it was agreed that the following input would be submitted for consideration by the INCITS Executive Board:

1. The Standards Development Board believes it would be beneficial and requests the implementation of a LAN at INCITS Executive Board, Standards Development Board and Standards Policy Board meetings and believes the following ground rules should be established:

participation in the network is voluntary
there is no requirement that the host provide internet access at the meetings
the current distribution method of documents will be maintained

2. On a trial basis, the Standards Development Board recommends that dial-in access be provided for participation in the Monday morning opening session of the April 2003 INCITS Executive Board meeting. (Agenda Item 9.2.2 - SDB agenda)

3. The Standards Development Board recommends the following dates for the 2004 INCITS Executive Board, Standards Development Board and Standards Policy Board meetings:

January 26-30, 2004 (west coast venue)
April 26-30, 2004 (east coast venue / TC Symposium)
July 19-23, 2004 (west coast venue)
September 27 - October 1, 2004 (east coast venue)

4. The Standards Development Board recommends that the 2003 delegates' meeting be shifted to November 11-12, 2003. (Agenda Item11.3 - SDB agenda)
