Subject: Standards Development Board Recommendations 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12 for Consideration at the February 2003 INCITS Executive Board Meeting


At the February 10-12, 2003 meeting of the Standards Development Board it was agreed that the following recommendations would be submitted for consideration by the INCITS Executive Board:


Recommendation 2:
The INCITS Executive Board instructs its Secretariat to request that a call for candidates to serve as the SC 32 Secretariat be posted in ANSI Standards Action to close before the April 2003 INCITS Standards Development Board meeting.  (Agenda Item 4.5 - SDB agenda)
Recommendation 3:
INCITS Executive Board instructs the Secretariat to post the strategic review of the US acquisition, retention and relinquishment  of Secretariats for consideration at the April 2003 Standards Policy Board meeting.  The Secretariat will issue  a call for contributions for this agenda item. (Agenda Item 4.5 - SDB agenda)
Recommendation 4:
The INCITS Executive Board approves the Draft Agreement for L1 Collaboration with the CGSB-COG on the Development of Common Geographic Information Standards Bilaterally between Canada and the US as detailed in in030177.  (Agenda Item 6.1.1 - SDB agenda)
Recommendation 5:
The INCTS Executive Board approves the Draft Principles of Cooperation between T11.5 and the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) as detailed in in030094.  (Agenda Item 6.1.2 - SDB agenda)
Recommendation 6:
The Executive Board instructs the Standards Policy Board to address the general cooperation/collaboration between INCITS Technical Committees and external organizations.  (Agenda Item 6.1.2 - SDB agenda)

Recommendation 10:
The INCITS Executive Board approves the withdrawal or stabilization of the OSI Standards as proposed in JTC 1 N 6998.  (Agenda Item 7.3.1 - SDB agenda)

Recommendation 11:

The INCITS Executive Board approves the US National Body responses to JTC 1 N 6999 - 2004 Systematic Review of International Standards Under the Responsibility of JTC 1, as detailed in in030220, pending confirmation from the appropriate US Technical Advisory Groups. (Agenda Item 7.3.2 - SDB agenda)

Recommendation 12:
The INCITS Executive Board approves the submission of the US National Body vote to APPROVE SC 17 N 2254 - SC 17 NP: Personal Identification - Identification Cards - Guidance for the Role and Relationship of SC 17 Documents, with the following responses to the NP questions:
