Notification
of Establishment of the INCITS Study Group on Linux
The INCITS Study Group on Linux was established at the October 2003
meeting of the INCITS Executive Board with the following charter:
The INCITS Study Group on Linux will
provide US National Body
representation on the SC 22 Linux Rapporteur Group and will develop US
National Body positions to the LRG. Reports and status from the
meetings will be provided within 30 days to the INCITS Executive Board.
The Convener of the INCITS Study Group on Linux will participate on
CT22.
Mr. Dave Thewlis (representing Intel Corporation) was appointed
Convener of the INCITS Study
Group on Linux.
Call for
Members of the INCITS Study Group on Linux
Participation in the standards activities of INCITS is open to all
directly and materially affected interests. Requests to establish
membership on the INCITS Study Group on Linux can be directed to Ms.
Jennifer Garner (jgarner@itic.org).
There is an $800 fee to establish
voting membership on the study group. All attendees at the
formation
meeting shall be considered
voting members of the INCITS Study Group on Linux.
Announcement
of the December 2-3, 2003 Formation Meeting of the INCITS Study Group

The first meeting of the INCITS Study Group on Linux will be held
December 2-3, 2003 at the office of the INCITS Secretariat in
Washington, DC:
