Subject: Notification of an Objection by Panasonic Technologies Inc., on RapidIO ™’s Request for INCITS Executive Board Approval of a Project Proposal for a New INCITS Fast-Track Standard, Information technology – RapidIO ™ Interconnect Specification (version 1.3)

The project proposal for Information technology – RapidIO ™ Interconnect Specification (version 1.3), for a new INCITS Fast-Track Standard, was sent to the INCITS EB for approval using the "Seven-Day Call for Comments" procedure in accordance with Section 5.9 of the INCITS RD-2. This project was reviewed from June 22, 2005 to June 29, 2005.

Any INCITS Executive Board member may raise an objection of the Project Proposal within seven calendar-days.

An objection was received from Panasonic Technologies Inc. on June 27, 2005.

If objections are raised, the INCITS Secretariat will distribute those objections to the Executive Board, Technical Committees and the proposer.

The organization submitting the candidate standard will be required to respond to the objections raised within fourteen days. The response closing date is July 14, 2005.
