Subject: Notification of Objections on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Request for INCITS Executive Board Approval of a Project Proposal for a New INCITS Fast-Track Standard, Information Technology – Transit Fare Cards - Interoperability Framework for Contactless Fare Payment Technologies and Systems


The project proposal for Information Technology – Transit Fare Cards - Interoperability Framework for Contactless Fare Payment Technologies and Systems, for a new INCITS Fast-Track Standard, was sent to the INCITS Eecutive Board for approval using the "Seven-Day Call for Comments" procedure in accordance with Section 5.9 of the INCITS/RD-2. The project review period was from December 1, 2005 to December 7, 2005.

Any INCITS Executive Board member may raise an objection of the Project Proposal within seven calendar-days.
If objections are raised, the INCITS Secretariat will distribute those objections to the Executive Board, Technical Committees and the proposer.

The organization submitting the candidate Fast Track canidate standard will be required to respond to the objections raised within fourteen days. The responses should be submitted to the INCITS Secretariat not later than January 26, 2006.
