2.      Preparing U.S. positions for the annual SC22 plenary.

The U.S. was well represented at the SC22 plenary in London, UK, in Sep 2006.

CT22 has performed very well with respect to ballot processing.

Membership currently stands at 13 voting members and four observing members.

2. Significant Accomplishments

Continued to support the SC22 OWG on “Guidance to Avoiding Vulnerabilities in Programming Languages through Language Selection and Use”.

The CT22 Chair, Rex Jaeschke, was nominated by INCITS to be the next chair of SC 22.

8. Future Trends and Related Technical Activities

Existing program language and environment specifications continue to be revised on a regular basis. However, new program language and environment specifications are being produced in other SDOs and (sometimes) come to JTC 1 via the Fast-Track or PAS processes, bypassing the INCITS and JTC 1 development processes.

As a Compound TAG, CT22 does not produce standards or TRs.
