February 2008 DIS 29500 Ballot Resolution Meeting |

Jennifer,
Although I have not seen any official notification to that effect, I understand
that it is highly likely that the size of delegations to the Ballot Resolution
Meeting for DIS 29500 will be limited. Anticipating that we
may have to prune the preliminary list of US delegates submitted
on December 10, 2007 ( in071740), please add to Agenda Item 9.3.4 for the
24-26 January 2008 meeting of the INCITS Executive Board the following contribution.
The US delegation to the February 2008 DIS 29500 Ballot Resolution
Meeting should be representative of the various constituents and positions
on this contentious topic. Toward that objective, Oracle recommends
the following guidelines for selecting representatives up to the number
allowable:
- The delegation should include members in good standing from both
the EB and V1
- The delegation should include representatives from both/all sides
of the issue
- The delegation should include no more than one representative from
any single member organization
Cheers...Don
