The INCITS M1 Minutia Interchange Format provides an industry standard to allow for fingerprint minutia extracted with one vendorÕs algorithm to be useful to another vendorÕs matching algorithm. There is a natural need to assure that the output of a vendorÕs extract process conforms to this interchange standard. This conformance standard will meet that need.
