Subject: Notification of the INCITS EB's Decision to Accept B11 Chairman's Offer to Fulfill the B11 International Representative Duties Until a Permanent Candidate is Identified - Action Item a08.005 from the January 2008 INCITS EB Meeting


Prior to the January 2008 INCITS EB meeting, the INCITS Secretariat notified the EB and the members of INCITS/B11 that two calls for volunteers to serve as INCITS/B11 International Representative had closed without response and the office was vacant.  B11 members were notified that in the event that a candidate was not identified in advance of the January 15-17, 2008 meeting of the INCITS Executive Board, the vacancy would be addressed at the meeting.

Dr. Nelson, the INCITS/B11 Chairman, notified the INCITS Secretariat that he would fulfill the B11 IR duties until such time as a permanent candidate is identified and appointed.
At the January 2008 EB meeting, the EB discussed and accepted Dr. Nelson's offer.  The INCITS Secretariat was instructed to notify the INCITS/B11 Chairman (Dr. Nelson) of the EB's decision to accept his offer to fulfill the B11 International Representative duties until such time as a permanent candidate is appointed.
