The subject-referenced FDIS is enclosed for action and information as indicated. The document has been distributed for ISO/IEC JTC 1 final letter ballot. The U.S. TAG is required to recommend a vote for the National Body.
The FDIS ballot begins on June 30, 2008 and ends August 30, 2008 (2-months only).
ATTENTION U.S. TAG to SC25
The committee is to coordinate and develop the U.S. recommended position for approval by the INCITS Executive Board for submission to ISO/IEC JTC 1. The position must be submitted in a format consistent with the guidelines specified by the JTC 1 Directives, Annex H, 5th edition.
The position options are:
For conditional votes on FCD ballots, the disposition of comments showing the resolution of the US comments should be submitted for INCITS Executive Board letter ballot.
IMPORTANT
The recommendation should be received at the INCITS Secretariat not later than the due date noted above for approval by an INCITS EB letter ballot, so that, if necessary, the Executive Board letter ballot resolution meeting may be conducted and the U.S. vote forwarded to ANSI prior to to the JTC 1 closing date.
ACTION REQUIRED BY INCITS EXECUTIVE
BOARD
INCITS EB members are requested to begin their review of the document in preparation in expeditiously determining their vote when the U.S. TAG recommendation is submitted for approval.
