NEWS RELEASE Doc No.: PR/95-024 Washington, D.C., March 10, 1995 -- Accredited Standards Committee X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period of Amendment 1 to ANSI X3.210:1992, (HIPPI-FP). This draft amendment describes several corrections and or changes to ANSI X3.210:1992 to include upper layer protocols identifiers (ULP-ids) for newly supported protocols; an updated block diagram showing the relationship between HIPPI-FP and other HIPPI entities, along with an informative annex containing a bibliography. An initial call for patents and pertinent issues (copyrights, trademarks) is now being issued.
