NEWS RELEASE Doc. No.: PR/95-029 Washington, D.C., April 13, 1995 -- The JTC 1 TAG announces the U.S. Submission of IEEE Std 1155-1992 for Fast-Track processing in JTC 1. IEEE Std 1155-1992, IEEE Standard for VMEbus Extensions for Instrumentation: VXIbus, a technically sound modular instrument standard based on IEEE Std 1014-1987, IEEE Standard for a Versatile Backplane Bus: VMEbus, which is open to all manufacturers and is compatible with present industry standards, is defined. It was approved by the IEEE Standards Board in September 1993. It received the ANSI Board of Standards Review approval in January 1994.
