Information 
Technology announces the two-month public review to 
reaffirm ANSI 
X3.46:1973.

This standard specifies the general, physical and magnetic 
requirements 
for interchangeability of the magnetic six-disk pack, as 
required to achieve 
unrecorded pack interchange between disk storages and 
associated 
information processing systems.

This standard was reviewed by the technical experts to 
comply with 
ANSI procedures, that require a five-year review of 
approved 
standards.  The technical experts recommended this 
standard be 
reissued without change.
