for One 
Inch Perforated Tape for Information Interchange

Washington, D.C. -- Accredited Standards Committee X3, 
Information 
Technology announces the two-month public review to 
reaffirm ANSI 
X3.20:1974.  The public review extends from June 23, 
1995 to August 22, 
1995.

This standard covers the physical dimensions of take-up (or 
storage) reels, 
with either fixed or separable flanges, so that reels of 
perforated tape may 
be interchanged among machines of various 
manufacturers, and is 
intended to serve as a guide in the coordination of 
equipment design.

This standard was reviewed by the technical experts to 
comply with 
ANSI procedures, that require a five-year review of 
approved 
standards.  The technical experts recommended this 
standard be 
reissued without change.
