X3 Announces the Public Comment Period for X3.277:199x,
SCSI-3 FAST-20

Washington D.C., July 1995 -- Accredited Standards Committee X3, Information Technology is announcing the public review of X3.277:199x. The comment period extends from May 26,1995 through July 25, 1995.

This draft standard defines the mechnical, electrical and timing 
requirements of the SCSI-3 Parallel Interface to allow conforming devices 
to inter-operate at the data transport level.  Fast-20 only defines those 
requirements to support the Fast-20 data transfer rate using synchronous 
data transfers.  Other requirements such as connectors, asynchronous 
transfer timing, etc. are defined in the SCSI-3 SPI (X3.253:199x).
