X3 Announces the Public Comment Period for X3/TR-15:199x,
Information Technology - Fault Isolation - Information Characterization

Washington D.C., August 1995 -- Accredited Standards Committee X3, 
Information Technology is announcing the public review of X3/TR-15:199x, being developed in Technical Committee X3T8, Fault Isolation.

The comment period extends from September 15, 1995 through November 14, 1995.

This technical report explains the concepts of fault isolation and the characterization of the information necessary to isolate a fault.  The reader is encouraged to read the X3T8 Fault Isolation draft standard (X3.275:199x) to understand the final result of the committee's efforts in this area.
