X3 Announces the Public Comment Period for X3.11:1990, Specification
for General Purpose Paper Cards for Information Interchange

Washington D.C., November 1995 -- Accredited Standards Committee 
X3, Information Technology is announcing the public review of ANSI 
X3.11:1990.  The comment period extends from November 24, 1995 
to January 26, 1996.

This standard specifies the quality of paper, dimensions and quality of 
general purpose cards, and test methods for general purpose cards of 7 
3/8 inch length.  This standard is intended to apply to general purpose 
cards in which the primary method of recording information is by punched 
holes.  This standard is not intended to exclude the use of such cards in 
other applications.

In accordance with ANSI procedures, which require a five-year 
review of its approved standards, the development committee X3B5 
recommends this standard be reissued without change.
