X3 Announces the Public Comment Period for the Revision of ANSI 
X3.62:1987, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Papers

Washington D.C., November 1995 -- Accredited Standards Committee X3, 
Information Technology is announcing the public review of X3.62:199x.  
The draft is being submitted as the revision to ANSI X3.62:1987.  The 
comment period extends from November 24, 1995 to January 26, 1996.

This standard is being revised to incorporate new wording for Section 
3.5.2, (Paper Specifications-Fluorescence) to better reflect the present state 
and practical use of OCR papers and equipment, as well as incorporate 
procedures from existing recognized standards.

All comments should be submitted to:  X3 Secretariat, Lynn Barra, 1250

the American National Standards Institute, 11 W. 42nd St., NY, NY  10036.
