X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment
period for ISO/IEC 9592-4:1992/AM2. The public review extends from
April 12, 1996 to June 11, 1996.
Part 4 of PHIGS, ISO/IEC 9592-4:1992, provides a set of functions
which add lighting and shading capabilities as well as additional
primitive to the PHIGS functions for the display and modification of
2D or 3D graphical data. Part 4 is extended by Amendment 2
(Enhanced Control) to incorporate functionality which provides
enhanced control. Functionality is provided to control the application
of textures to objects and to interactively apply changes to light
source definitions.
Note: This draft international standard has been processed simultaneously
as an American National Standard and an International Standard. Any
comments received during this public review period will addressed and
considered for future revision.
