X3 Announces the Public Review Comment Period for 
ISO/IEC 12087-3:1995, Information technology - Computer graphics and 
image processing - Image Processing and Interchange (IPI) - Functional 
specification - Part 3:  Image Interchange Facility (IIF)



Washington D.C., March 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3, 
Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for 
ISO/IEC 12087-3:1995.  The public review extends from April 12, 1996 to 
June 11, 1996.

This part of ISO/IEC 12087 facilitates the interchange of digital images.  
For this purpose, conceptual, architectural, and functional definitions of the 
Image Interchange Facility (IPI-IIF) are established.

Note:  This draft international standard has been processed simultaneously 
as an American National Standard and an International Standard.  Any 
comments received during this public review period will addressed and 
considered for future revision.
