X3 Announces the Public Comment Period for X3.292:199x, Information Technology - SCSI-3 Interlocked Protocol (SIP)
Washington D.C., April 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for X3.292:199x. The public review extends from April 26, 1996 to June 25, 1996. This standard defines the SCSI-3 Interlocked Protocol (SIP). The role of SIP is to supply a mapping of the SCSI-3 command sets to the SCSI parallel bus as defined in SCSI-3 Parallel Interface (X3.253:1995). SIP is closely derived from the protocol portions of SCSI-2 (X3.131:1994). SIP is intended to be a fully compliant expression of SCSI-3 Architecture Model (SAM) (X3.270:199x). Submit all comments to: X3 Secretariat, Attn.: Lynn Barra, 1250 Eye Street, NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20005, Email: lbarra@itic.nw.dc.us.
