X3 Announces the Public Comment Period for 
X3.294:199x, Information Technology - Serial Storage Architecture - 
SCSI-2 Protocol (SSA-S2P)

X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for 
X3.294:199x.  The public review extends from May 10, 1996 to July 9, 1996.

This document describes an upper-level protocol of Serial Storage Architecture.  
SSA-S2P is a mapping of the existing SCSI-2 protocol, X3.131:1994, with 
extensions to map SCSI-2 to the SSA serial link.  Additional information in the 
standard contains a chart showing the relationship of the SSA family of 
standards.
