 X3 Announces the Approval of a New Project,
Addendum to X3.37:1995, System-Neutral 
CLFILE Extension

Washington D.C., May 1996 -- Accredited Standards Committee X3, 
Information Technology announces approval of this new project being 
developed within Technical Committee, X3J7, APT.

The proposed addendum will contain additional features that have been 
identified since completion of X3.37:1995 and need to be addressed early 
on.  The creation of this report, covering only this aspect of X3.37:1995, 
APT, will make the system-neutral CLFILE more accessible and will 
facilitate a much broader use.

The next two meetings of X3J7 are May 12-15, 1996, in Cincinnati, Ohio 
and September 8-11, 1996 in Detroit, Michigan.
