X3 Announces the Public Review Comment Period for
ISO/IEC 9592-1:1989/DAM6, Information Processing Systems - Computer
graphics - Programmer's Hierarchical Interactive Graphics System (PHIGS)
Part 1: Functional description AMENDMENT 6: Registered items
Washington D.C., May 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3,
Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for
ISO/IEC 9592-1:1989/DAM6. The public review extends from June 7,
1996 to August 6, 1996.
Part 1 of PHIGS, ISO/IEC 9592-1:1989, provides a set of functions for the
display and modification of 2D or 3D graphical date. Part 1 is extended by
Amendment 6 (Registered Items) to incorporate functionality which has
previously been registered in the ISO Registry of Graphical Items which
has general utitlity.
Note: This draft international standard is being processed simultaneously
as an American National Standard and an International Standard.
Public Review Comment Instructions:
The public review period closes on August 6, 1996. However, in order for
comments to affect the position of the U.S. TAG, they must be received
prior to June 19, 1996. Therefore, all commentors are urged to submit
comments as early in the public review period as possible. Public review
comments received after June 13, 1996 will be addressed and considered
for future balloting and/or revision.
