X3 Announces the Public Review Comment Period for
ISO/IEC DIS 15041, Information technology - Data interchange on 90 mm 
optical disk cartridges - Capacity 640 Mbytes per cartridge 


Washington D.C., June 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3, 
Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for 
ISO/IEC DIS 15041.  The public review extends from July 5, 
1996 to September 3, 1996.

This International Standard specifies the characteristics of 90 mm Optical 
Disk Cartridges (ODCs) with a capacity of 640 Mbytes per Cartridge.

Note:  This draft international standard is being processed simultaneously 
as an American National Standard and an International Standard.  

Public Review Comment Instructions:

The public review period closes on September 3, 1996.  However, in order 
for comments to affect the position of the U.S. TAG, they must be received 
prior to July 15, 1996.  All commentors are urged to submit comments as 
early in the public review period as possible.  Public review comments 
received after July 15, 1996 will be addressed and considered for future 
balloting and/or revision.
