X3 Announces the Public Comment Period for the Reaffirmation of ANSI X3.94:1985, Programming Language Aid to Numerically Controlled Manufacturing (PANCM)
Washington D.C., June 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for X3.94:1985. The public review extends from July 19, 1996 to September 17, 1996. The purpose of this standard is to standardize language features of the SPLIT, ACTION, and COMPACT II languages, to ensure compatibility of language enhancements and to promote portability of part programs between implementations. In accordance with ANSI procedures, which require a five-year review of approved standards, the responsible committee, OMC recommends this standard be reissued, without change.
