X3 Announces the Public Comment Period for the
Reaffirmation of ANSI X3.91M:1987, Storage Module Interfaces (SMD-E)
Washington D.C., November 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3,
Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for ANSI
X3.91M:1987. The public review extends from October 25, 1996 to
December 24, 1996.
This standard provides mechanical, electrical, and functional requirements
for the storage module class of interface between disk drives and their
respective control units.
In accordance with ANSI procedures, which require a five-year review of
approved standards, the responsible committee, X3T10 recommends this
standard be reissued, without change.
