Washington D.C., December 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for ISO/IEC 9592-3:1989/DAM4. The public review extends from January 17, 1997 to March 18, 1997.
This document specifies the additions and changes to Part 3 of ISO/IEC 9592:1989 (PHIGS - clear text encoding of archive file) to support Amendment 6 to Part 1 (PHIGS Registered Items). All references in this document refer to ISO/IEC 9592-3 as modified by Amendments 1 and 2.
Note: This draft international standard is being processed simultaneously as an American National Standard and an International Standard.
Public Review Comment Instructions:
The public review period closes on March 18, 1997. However, in order for comments to affect the position of the U.S. TAG, they must be received prior to January 29, 1997. Therefore, all commentors are urged to submit comments as early in the public review period as possible. Public review comments received after January 29, 1997 will be addressed and considered for future balloting and/or revision.
