Washington D.C., December 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for Extended CLDATA Point Records (Amendment 2 to X3.37:1995). Development of this draft standard is being done in technical committee X3J7, APT.
The public review extends from January 17, 1997 to March 18, 1997.
Extended CLDATA point records provide subsequent uses of the CLFILE additional information about the defined surface. Among the possible uses are calculation of three-dimensional cutter compensation, recreation of the defined surface for inspection, and improved plotting capabilities.
