Washington D.C., December 1996 - Accredited Standards Committee X3, Information Technology is announcing the public comment period for ISO/IEC (2nd) CD 14882. Although the formal public review extends from January 17, 1997 to March 18, 1997, the U.S. TAG (X3J16) will accept comments immediately.
This International Standard specifies requirements for implementations of the C++ programming language. The first such requirement is that they implement the language, and so this International Standard also defines C++. Other requirement and relaxations of the first requirement appear at various places within the Standard.
Note: This draft international standard is being processed simultaneously as an American National Standard and an International Standard.
Public Review Comment Instructions:

Public review comments received after March 19, 1997 will be addressed and considered for future balloting and/or revision.
