Washington D.C., June 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards is announcing the public comment period for the adoption of ISO/IEC 9529-2:1989 as an American National Standard. The public review extends from June 6, 1997, to August 5, 1997.

This part of ISO/IEC 9529 specifies the track layout, the track format and the characteristics of the recorded signals.
