Washington D.C., June 1997 -- JTC 1 TAG (U.S. TAG to ISO/IEC JTC 1, Information Technology) announces the Public Review and Comment Period on the U.S. Submission to JTC 1 of a proposed New Work Item for SCSI-3 Interlocked Protocol (SIP) (interface protocols).

The JTC 1 TAG is soliciting comments from the U.S. community on the submission of this proposed New Work Item.

This proposed standard defines the command and task management delivery protocol required to transfer commands and data between SCSI initiators and SCSI targets attached to an SCSI-3 Parallel Interface.

The public review period extends from July 4, 1997 through August 2, 1997.
