NCITS Announces the Public Comment Period for NCITS 310:199x,
Representation of Time for Information Interchange

Washington D.C., July 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards) is announcing the public comment period for NCITS 310:199x. Development of this draft standard is being done in NCITS Technical Committee L8, Data Represenation.

The public review extends from July 18, 1997 to September 16, 1997.

The scope of this American National Standard is limited to the representation of time for interchange among data systems; it does not describe how time is determined. This standard was not designed for (nor does it preclude) usage by humans as input to, or output from, data systems. This standard does not address how data is converted by data systems to be internally processed and/or stored.
