Washington D.C., July 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards) is announcing the public comment period for ANSI X3.88:1981. The public review extends from August 1, 1997 to September 30, 1997.
This standard defines the content of a computer program abstract. The abstract is a summary of the capabilities, operating environment, and other descriptive information concerning the computer program. The abstract is intended primarily for computer program users.
In accordance with ANSI procedures and NCITS, which require a five-year review of approved standards, OMC recommends this standard recommends this standard be reissued, without change.
