Washington D.C., September 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards is announcing the public comment period for the adoption of ISO 5654-2:1982 as an American National Standard. The public review extends from September 12, 1997, to November 11, 1997.
This part of ISO 5654 specifies the quality of recorded signals, track layout and the track format to be used on 200 mm (8 in) flexible disk cartridges recorded at 13 262 ftprad on one side, which is intended for data interchange between data processing systems.
