Washington D.C., September 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards) announces approval of this new project being developed within Technical Committee, T13, I/O Interface - AT Attachment. The reference number for this project is 1248-D.
This standard will define the interconnect management, command, status, reset, and security protocols for attaching ATA/ATAPI devices to the 1394 bus using the SBP-2 transport protocol.
