Washington D.C., September 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards) is announcing the public comment period for NCITS 313:199x. Development of this draft standard is being done in NCITS Technical Committee B10, Identification Cards and Related Devices.
The public review extends from October 24, 1997 to December 23, 1997.
The scope of this American National Standard identifies the fixed arrangements of the alphanumeric characters and keys of a PIN pad. The PIN pad is used by a customer to enter a Personal Identification Number (PIN) when requested as part of a transaction.
