Washington D.C., November 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards) is announcing the public comment period for NCITS 314:199x. Development of this draft standard is being done in Technical Committee T10, I/O Interface - Lower Level.
The public review extends from November 11, 1997 to January 6, 1998.
This standard defines the command set extensions for operation of SCSI medium changer devices, and command set extensions that allow medium changer functions in other types of SCSI devices.
The objectives of the SCSIŠ3 Medium Changer Commands standard are:
- To permit an application client to communicate with a logical unit that declares itself to be a medium changer device in the DEVICE TYPE field of the INQUIRY command response data over a SCSI service delivery subsystem.Submit all comments to: NCITS Secretariat, Attn.: Deborah J.
