Washington D.C., November 1997 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards) is announcing the public comment period for X3.190:1992. The public review extends from November 7, 1997 to January 6, 1998.
This standard addresses the construction and use of test suites for verifying conformance of SGML systems. Its provisions assist those who build test suites, those who build SGML systems to be evaluated by such suites, and those who examine an SGML system's performance on a test suite as part of the process of selecting an SGML tool.
In accordance with ANSI procedures and NCITS, which require a five- year review of approved standards, OMC recommends this standard recommends this standard be reissued, without change.
