Subject: The US
National Body votes to Approve CS1/07-0245rev1 as the US NB Response to the 2007
Systematic Review Ballot on 9797-2.
Statement:
This is a 30-day Letter Ballot, commencing on September 25, 2007. Please
note that this ballot closes at midnight EDT Wednesday October 24,
2007. Just a reminder -- not voting on 30-day letter ballots can
result in voting jeopardy.
Background: This was
sent to CS1 members as a Straw poll, document CS1/07-0245 answering the 5
questions, which ended on September 16, 2007. There were no changes or
contributions to the straw poll. The only added information in what you
are voting on is a comment under Qs.1 that will help INCITS EB better understand
our reason for voting to Revise the standard, namely ‘that the preliminary WD of
the revision of 9797-2 was presented at the Russia SC 27 meetings in May 2007,
so it already undergoing revision’. I am a little later than planned with
this LB, but there is still ample time to run it as a 30-day
LB.
Question for ballot:
Does CS1 recommend that the
US NB Approve CS1/07-0245rev1 as the US NB response to the 2007 Systematic
Review Ballot on 9797-2?

YES).
