To: Ron Silletti and Ted Ts'o, IBM Corporation
Subject: Jeopardy Notification - IBM Corporation
From: Dave Thewlis, Chairman INCITS Study Group on Linux

Dear Ron and Ted,

IBM is currently listed as a member of the INCITS Study Group on Linux.  IBM has not participated in two of the last three INCITS Study group on Linux meetings, held by teleconference on January 17, 2005, January 28, 2005 and February 7, 2005.

INCITS procedures state that members of SGs shall be notified in writing that their membership shall be terminated if they have not attended two out of three successive meetings.

This note is to inform you that if IBM does not attend the next teleconference of the INCITS Study Group on Linux, IBM's membership on the SG will be terminated.

The next meeting is Thursday-Friday, February 24-25, 2005, at ITI in Washington, D.C.  I am attaching the first draft agenda for that meeting.  I expect to circulate a second draft early next week, after the February 11, 2005 deadline for ISGL members to submit their initial comments and positions for development of the ISGL recommendation to the INCITS EB on a U.S. position and comments on DIS 22360, the LSB PAS.  I look forward to seeing you at ITI on February 24-25.

Best Regards,

Dave Thewlis, Convenor
INCITS Study Group on Linux
