T3 - Open Distributed Processing (ODP)
Technical Committee T3 is responsible for the development of the National
Standard Reference Model on Open Distributed Processing (ODP). The ODP will
model the features and functions required to achieve a transparent distributed
processing platform. This model will be used to coordinate future standards
development in the area of distributed processing, much as the Reference
Model of Open Systems Interconnection was used to coordinate communications
standardization.
Technical Committee T3 is the U.S. TAG to JTC 1/SC 6/WG 1*, WG7, WG8,
WG9 and SC7/WG19 and provides recommendations on U.S. positions to the JTC
1 TAG.
* The TAG for Project 5 in SC6/WG1 is the responsibility of IEEE.
