Dear Kate,

At its May 4, 2000 meeting, the NCITS IT Accommodation Study Group voted
to submit the attached project proposal, "Project Proposal to Develop
the Alternative Interface Access Protocol (AIAP)," for consideration by
NCITS. The vote was 8-0-0-4 (yes-no-abstain-absent).

The NCITS IT Accommodation Study Group recommends to NCITS approval of
the attached project proposal; the formation of a new TC in the area of
IT Accommodation of Poeple with Disabilities; the assignment to the new
TC of: the remaining progam of work of the ITA SG, this project, and any
other projects related to the IT Accommodation of Poeple with
Disabilities that NCITS deems appropriate; and the dissolution of this
Study Group.
