V36 - Information Technology for Learning, Education and Training

Technical Committee V36 supports national and International level work on Information Technology for Learning, Education and Training. The projects are assigned to specific areas, as follows:

The objective is to develop standards in the field of information technologies for learning, education, and training to support individuals, groups, or organizations, and to enable interoperability and reusability of resources and tools.

Excluded: INCITS V36 shall not create standards or technical reports that define educational standards, cultural conventions, learning objectives, or specific learning content. In the area of work of this new technical committee, standards and technical reports would not duplicate work done by other INCITS technical committees with respect to their component, specialty, or domain. Instead, when appropriate, normative or informative references to other standards shall be included. Examples include documents on specialty topics such as multimedia, web content, cultural adaptation, and security.

This technical committee is the U.S. TAG to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 36 and provides recommendations on U.S. positions to the JTC 1 TAG .
